PROBLEM
While working with AARCS in a student lead initiative, we were tasked with increasing donations for the non-profit through digital media. We defined a large issue in the donation process. Users showed to quickly bounce off their website when working through the donation process. Users said the process was cumbersome, lengthy, poorly designed and inefficient. We decided to redesign their website in order to improve their donation process and encourage more donations.
We first developed paper prototypes to define the wireframes of the website. After collecting and defining the feedback and results from our paper prototype testing, we pursued the digital design from the most successful wireframe. We refined AARCS visual brand to modernize this recognizable name. After defining the necessary content needed for the website, our team collaborated to design this mock-up.
STRATEGY
Using best practices for design, layout, info architecture and web design, we produced a visually pleasing mock-up of the proposed website redesign. The AARCS rebrand was in an effort to modernize this well-known name. We conducted market research to define competitors, community members and potential audience members. This research influenced our brand decisions.
OUTCOME
The client, AARCS, was very pleased with the final design. We then passed along the work and final mock-ups to them to send to their web developers for implementation. Using best practices for design, layout, info architecture and web design, we produced a visually pleasing mock-up of the proposed website redesign.
